Happy berfday Dre! The East coast shows the West Coast gangsta architect some love. Andre Young AKA Dre Dre was born on February 18.
Dr. Dre is so cool he doesn’t even need to die to have an annual party thrown in his honor. In fact, this one just celebrates his birth. MeanRed, Dances with White Girls and Taste NYC bring the West Coast east with their third annual Dre Day dance party, featuring a Colt 45 open bar from 9-10, plenty of gin & juice, and DJs Nick Hook, Project Matt, and Egg Foo Young. For all you transplants or just plain Best Side aficionados, suit up à la Dre himself with a Raiders cap, flannel and khakis. Then, dance the night away to CA classics by 2 Pac, N.W.A and Snoop Dogg — just because no one forgets about Dre!
